Formula D Title Fight! Irwindale 10/08/11

Formula Drift is a professional drifting championship series where drivers are judged based on their style and execution of a course, instead of whoever speeds through in the fastest time. It's one of the most exciting forms of racing, because it requires a lot of skill and can be very unpredictable. What looks like a car coming into a drift at a perfect angle might actually be the precursor to a driver slamming straight into a wall at a ridiculously high speed!  Hence, it's no surprise that drifting keeps its spectators at the edge of their seats!

Formula D's first and last event took place in Southern California this year, and I was freaking stoked to be able to make it to the highly anticipated, final part of the series!

Upon reaching the entrance, we were greeted with huge waves of smoke. Ahh... the smell of burning rubber...

I haven't seen this xB around before! Definitely digging that unique color combo.

I'm a sucker for white wheels. So fresh when they're done right and are actually clean!

One sweet pink G35. My eyes were spazzing at the sight of this.

Pretty cherry blossoms on the side of this ride. I still gotta do that for my nails! One of these days...

There were plenty of Evos on the way to and at the event, which makes for a happy Eileen (:

The DSport booth. They had a bunch of issues featuring Evos!!!! That gave me a really good feeling about them--I might have to be a subscriber soon!

I have an oddly addictive fascination to your blog! No joke... I'm not really a car person, but looking at the photos and knowing that they are from a female's perspective make them special to me!
I think you have some awesome nail art inspiration here:
a) white wheels with the lovely blue bolts
b) that awesome flower and branch car decal
c) the turquoise hood on the car!
Love it! You really have a knack for photos and your nails are always pristine.
ps. I just noticed the shoelaces at the top of your blog! even more love!
