Nails Did: Fairytale Princess Magic Unicorn Power!!!!

Precision 80's Purple + Jesse's Girl Fire Fly

I recently got a hold of a bunch of really fun glitters, so I've been dying to put them to use! I did an accent nail with the glitters, because it's an easy way to incorporate a bunch of them and make any plain manicure more interesting. For this look, I used a combination of sky blue, pink, purple and white iridescent glitters and placed each color into sections on my nail. Although you can easily distinguish the colors from one another in the container, they seem to meld into eachother on the polish.
I topped my other nails with a glittery top coat by Jesse's Girl that I picked up from Rite-Aid not too long ago. The entire combo just reminded me of a fairytale filled with princesses and unicorns and the like (:

Nails Did: The Derek Kloog MANicure

Essie Sexy Divide + Wet n Wild Black Creme + Kleancolor Chunky Holo Bluebell

Here's a nail look I did, based on possibly one of the coolest cars I've ever stumbled upon--Derek Kloog's S13 Nissan Silvia.
My heart seriously melted the first time I laid eyes on his car, because that hood is something I was definitely considering for my future project car. I realized I could get that on my nails, so that's exactly what I attempted to do.

To get this look, I first painted my nails black to deepen the purple that would be painted on top, because as you can see from the bottle, my purple polish isn't as dark or blue-based as his S13.
Actually, I'm not sure exactly what color his car is. Sometimes it looks burgundy or black depending on the lighting. I did my nails based on the picture shown above. But anyway! I digress.
After painting the purple over the black, I used tape to block off the sides. This serves to mimic the purple paint job around the hood.
I painted the middle black, removed the tape, and then carefully topped the black with two coats of holographic glitter.

By the way, Rosalinda recently did a similar look over at The Lacquer Room! I highly suggest y'all hit the link and check hers out!

Kicks Inspired Makeup: Sky High

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely not ready for summer to be over yet! As such, I wanted to create a look that incorporated the fresh and fun colors of the season. It's sort of my way of clinging onto the last few days of summer, as the cooler weather sets in for fall.
This look was inspired by my Puma Sky II Highs. It's an excellent summer sneaker due to the clean colorway. I'm not a fan of the toe box because it's too round and wide for my liking; however, it's not a deal breaker since I did find these on sale. The toe box generally looks good from most angles, so it's not something that really bothers me. I really like the silhouette and the fresh colorway, which is why I decided to cop--making them my second pair of Pumas!

Nails Did: Oreo 6's

Wet n Wild French White Creme + Wet n Wild Black Creme

This design was inspired by my Oreo 6's. I tried to incorporate geometric elements of the shoe as well as the speckled design on the midsole onto my nails.

Oh, I've also started contributing to MISS, so you can also catch my nail posts there! Graphics will be the same (for the most part), but the narrative will be different since I can't just spam with endless photos haha.

KICKStory: Air Jordan Spiz'ike

Jordan Spiz'ike
Miami Vice

Jordan Spiz'ikes are hybrid sneakers that take elements from six original Jordan models. The six models that contribute to Spiz'ikes are the 3's (sole, midsole, elephant print), 4's (wings on the sides of the shoe that hold the lace loops), 5's (side netting, plus this model lays down the basic silhouette for Spizzy's!), 6's (tongue and lace locks), 9's (back tab), and 20's (lasered sockliner graphics). Due to their combinative nature, it's no surprise that they were nicknamed "retro Frankensteins".
