Zoya Neeka + OPI Pirouette My Whistle
I first heard about the OPI New York Ballet collection from Shay of A Thick Girl's Closet. To be honest, I was really indifferent about the soft, sheer colors this collection had to offer, but when the collection actually released and swatches started popping up, Pirouette My Whistle caught my attention! It's not one of the obnoxious glitters that I would normally gravitate towards, but I really like how delicate and pretty it looks over sheer colors.
Since I've seen Pirouette My Whistle layered over so many soft shades, that I was curious to see how it would look over a darker polish, which is how this polish combination came about. I thought the white glitter would complement the dusty tones in Neeka, which is why I paired the two up. What do you guys think? Have you picked up anything from the OPI New York Ballet collection? (:

Wow it looks so chic! :) Perfect for a dinner or something!
curious. how do you know if a polish has "dusty tones"
@ lita: thanks lita :D
@ kumi: i'd say if it has a bit of grey in it. in lighter colors, the dustiness keeps it from being bright so it makes the color more wearable
I love this combo!! I really like the OPI NY ballet collection too, especially Pirouette My Whistle. I'm tempted to go to Micheals crafts to pick up some hex glitters. They have a set, they don't sell them individually unfortunately, the set is $13 for several vials of various hex glitters. I'm hoping there's a white one in there to recreate this.
I also have to say some Pirouette My Whistle swatches I've seen look like glitter sandwiches.
ooh thanks! :D
Great combo! I have neither of these. I have one of the Holland OPIs that is similar to Neeka.
I love this color!
