Air Jordan IV GS 'Ultraviolet'
It was quite a shock to see them in person. All the product photos I had seen prior to the release showed the purple to be a lot more blue-based, when it's actually a red-based violet in person. The accents were a signature aspect of this shoe, so the color difference made it seem like an entirely different sneaker!
I really like the balance of colors on these kicks. Just the right amount of purple accents, and the black adds the perfect touch.
I like how the Jumpman's in white--it's a nice contrast with the purple speckles!
I think I'm done with Jordan 4's for this year. It'd be nice to get the Voltage Cherry 4's as well, but I had to pick one and I went for these. These screamed my name when I saw them, and the color-blocking on the Voltage Cherry 4's didn't have the same effect on me.

Now before I end this post, I'd like to make note of the new Jumpman boxes!
I'm liking these boxes a lot. In my opinion, the cardboard feels a lot sturdier. Only time will tell how well these hold up.
They switched up the labels and added other subtle touches to the overall packaging.
Here's my favorite part:
They added tabs to the side of the box that keep the lid from flopping open unnecessarily. It's quite ingenious, really!

I really like how there's black splatters on the purple and purple splatters on the black! I'm a big fan of the color combo as well... where do you normally get your shoes? online? I do love me some sneakers :D

@ exah: you noticed the inverse of colors going on too!!! i picked these up at my local footlocker, but it really depends on the pair. like, i just placed an order for some air max 1's online cause i don't know where to get them locally :(

I do like the purple color on these so cute!
I love the paint spatter design, it adds a dimension, otherwise I would think, it might be flat without them. Paint spatter was so big in the 80's!

Yes, big in the 80's. I was in elementary school back then and we did some paint spattering with old toothbrushes. Pull the bristles back, release, and the paint will fling onto the canvas. Messy. If you give it a try I'd love to see it. !!!
You truly have made me look at sneakers as an artform. Whenever I pass by a fun shoe store I think of you!
