Layla Ocean Rush
Woohooooo I finally got myself a super linear holo polish! Despite numerous trips to Ulta, I couldn't locate this one in stores when I first heard about it, so I ordered it online... and then saw it in stores after it arrived in the mail. I totally hate when this happens, cause waiting for packages to arrive makes me all antsy haha!
This polish was really weird with my base. I tried it with NailTek Foundation II, and the polish dragged up clumps and I could not get it to work for the life of me. I ended up removing it altogether and using two coats alone, because my base wouldn't work with the polish and I heard that using a top coat dulls the holographic effect.
As for the color, I don't think it's anything spectacular indoors, but when you get it into the sunlight... BAM! It really lights up! I really want to go back for more (:
I got this at my local Ulta. Even though it was pricey, it's not nearly as bad as the China Glaze/OPI DS holos that run for mad prices on Ebay and are really hard to find in general. I definitely recommend printing out an Ulta coupon if you decide to make a trip for these jewels!

Pretttty! I would love to have a color like this in like pink xD
Whoa! I don't have a linear holo polish yet, but from what I read I think your suppose to file/buff the nail plate with a special buffer instead of using base coat??? Also some people claim Nufu-Oh's aqua base coat is the best for linear holos, and Seche Vite is the a top coat that works well with linear holos. I don't have personal experience with this, just from what I've read. I'm kind of on a no-buy right now until June... I want to go to Ulta to check these out! I must refrain!
Oh wowwwww. Just the pic is so mesmerizing- I can't imagine how distracting it is to be outdoors with that sparkler :P Ughhh, so jealous (:
ooo this one is freaking gorgeous! i really want more too but they are super pricey! :(
Wow that polish is GORGEOUS. I might have to get it myself :D
Tips for making finicky holo's work:
1) use the Revlon Super Shine buffer to buff your nail plate smooth (be aware that too much buffing can thin and weaken your nail plate)
2) Use an Aqua Base. Nfu-Oh's is the best known but I believe Gosh also makes one. Use super-thin coats (two should do it) to shorten the drying time to about ten minutes per coat.
3) Use a thick topcoat like Seche Vite, Poshe, or Gelous, as a basecoat.
The idea is to get your nail as smooth as possible so the pigment in the polish doesn't clump around any irregularities in your nail plate. ^_^
Ocean Rush is officially on my lemming list! WANT. SO. BADLY. It's amazing!
Wow those are some amazing swatches! Holos are so cool! :-)

I love holos! Especially ones that are so prominent!
I have two Layla holos... Mercury Twilight (silver) and coral glam (coral/pink). They ARE incredible!!!I have used them on my bare nail (no topcoat)... and with seche vite topcoat FIRST, THEN the Layla shades... yes... the formula can drag if you're not super careful (or so I found with the silver one)
