Revlon Lemon Meringue
This polish is part of the Revlon Scented Treats collection. By the looks of it, you'd assume that it's an innocent polish... but be warned! This is possibly one of the worst polishes I've ever tried :(
The color is nice, but the formula is where this polish just sucked really bad. From the bottle, I thought it was perhaps a jelly... but much to my dismay, the translucency of the polish in the bottle is due to its runny consistency! It was so runny, I felt like I was painting water onto my nails, because the polish just didn't want to adhere. The second coat wasn't as bad, but it was very streaky and left terrible patches everywhere, so I needed a third coat to touch up all the bald, uneven spots. I couldn't get away without using an additional coat because the polish tended to glob up or get worse when I tried to fix it while wet. The finish wasn't glossy and I ended up getting bubbles, so I needed to finish off with my Seche Vite top coat, in an attempt to camouflage the bubbles and compensate for the lack of shine.
I usually don't have a problem with scented products, but this one was was really overwhelming! It's a sickeningly sweet, sugary smell that stampedes into my nostrils even after two layers of top coat. It eventually fades over time, but while it lingered, I felt like my head was going to explode.
As you can see from the pictures, it's not impossible to work with. I managed to make it look decent; however, considering all the trouble that it's worth, I'd suggest checking out other options if you're really into this shade. Have any of you tried this polish before? Do you think it's worth the trouble?

I saw this line of new Revlon polishes at Walgreens and I didn't buy any because of the whole "scented" idea. I was afraid I wouldn't like the smell or want it on my nails. After reading your review, I'm SO happy I decided to leave them alone. lol

sooo creamy and soft! i love yellows like this
that sucks! i havent tried this one but i have a few yellows like this. i love yellow polishes, i wish someone would get it right. either way, the finished mani looks really nice! maybe try sinful colors unicorn? its similar with a little less problematic formula.
I love soft yellows like this. The only one I have in my collection is China Glaze Lemon Fizz and the formula on it isn't too shabby. Love the new layout too! Super cute :)
I love the new blog design! Soft yellows with a good formula are so rare but they look so nice!
It looks pretty but so not worth the hassle! There are a lot more workable yellows out there without an overpowering sugar scent. Thanks for the review though :)
This looks very nice on your skin.
so pretty!
p.s. I'm having a giveaway if you'd like to check it out!

I'm glad I didn't pick this up too. I'd say, not worth it! I did pick up Revlon's sunshine sparkle today. It is the same shade with silver shimmer. I can't wait to try it.
Well, at least the colour is pretty :P
When I first saw your pictures I thought "wow". I'm glad I didn't just drool over then pictures. The colour goes so well with your skin and the final result looks so creamy (banana smoothie comes to mind) it's a real shame that it caused you so much trouble and pain (headache). I'll be taking a pass on this one although I will be on the hunt for this colour. It's so pretty!
I don't know why is it that all yellows tend to have tricky formulas D:
as pretty as it looks, it's definitely not worth the hassle, at least for me. Thank you for warning us about it
Wow that's a horrible formula...too bad cause it looks really pretty, must mean you did a mighty fine job! I've come to the conclusion that scented polishes are not for me...the smell gives me headaches..
