Mister Freeze

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to show you another swatch from a while back, Kaleidoscope Him Out. It's a light, dusty blue that came out in the 2009 China Glaze Kaleidoscope collection. I was barely getting into polishes at that time so I missed out on the entire collection, but I was fortunate enough to be able to acquire this one in a swap. Hooray!

Shown above is 3 coats over NailTek Foundation II. The formula was excellent! It dried smoothly and quickly. The holographic effect is a bit scattered (if you're comparing it to the Layla holos), but it's one of the more linear holos out there (as far as I know).

The color to me is kinda icy and blah, even though the holographic effect is pretty cool. I don't know why I'm so picky with holos, I just feel like all the ones I've tried so far aren't vibrant enough! I think a bright lime or rich, grass green one would be awesome though! Do you  know of any you'd recommend? What would your perfect holographic shade be? (:

It's a nice colour but I think I'm over holos lol! Have you chacked out Nubar reclaim? That looks like a decent green holo...I don't know if it's what you're looking for though :)

Lucky! I missed out on the entire collection too, so I have none :( A lime green holo would be amazing...I don't know if anyone makes it though, maybe an indie brand?

So many holos have that dull silvery color (which look very dull in low light).

My favorite holo is probably from an Indie Brand. Elemental Styles Actin-ium My Age has some incredible holo going on, and it's a bright vivid purple.

It's a nice color and the holo effect is really neat! And your idea of a bright lime or green holo would be awesome! :-)

I adore this color. Maybe putting it as a topper on a creme would amp up the color a bit? Or getting Hits Hefesto so any color can be a holo! =) I have this color and I love it, but when I used it, I did it over a turquoise color...

From what I have seen online the brand GOSH has the most intense holo effect. Believe it or not I do not yet own a holo polish, I don't know why... maybe because the are not that easy to find. I would have to go out of my way to order it online and I don't feel like it... Anynow, I really like the ice blue color you have. It kind of looks like a gritty glitter.
