Soyumi Bike/Car Mix & Match Meet

The Soyumi Meet was the second event I had going on this past weekend, and it took place on Sunday at the Great Park of Irvine. There were mostly bikes at the meet so I lost interest fairly quickly, but I hope you enjoy my pictures of what did spark my interest!

This picture came out way too overexposed, but I like it nonetheless (:

Pretty colored lights!

It was so nice seeing this G35. I felt so lost in the sea of bikes!

Rally ready.

Cute fluffy dog!!!!!

626 Puente Hills Mitsubishi Dealer Meet

The 626 Meet was the first of two events that I had going on this past weekend. It took place on Saturday, and was held at the Puente Hills Mitsubishi dealer.

This was one of the many Evos at the meet (:

Mmm.. sexy from every angle (;

Had to do a double take on this spoiler--I thought it was installed improper but that's really how it is!

Eclipse leading a row of Evos...

This was the nicest Eclipse for show, in my opinion.

Although there were lots of Mitsubishis, this meet wasn't restricted to any make or model.

Not sure if this IS250 had a pearl green paintjob, or if it's just my camera being weird. I'm quite sure it's the latter, though.

Whoa look at these wheels and the brake calipers! So shiny and colorful :D

Check out this clean Integra sedan...

These wheels reminded me of my Jordan 3 True Blues... one of my favorite pairs ever <3

I see you.

I like the finish of these lights... they're so smooth looking that I was tempted to touch it (I resisted, of course)!

No car meet would be complete without a food truck standing nearby.

I went for the deep fried Oreo's wrapped in red velvet batter, topped with honey, powdered sugar and feta cheese. I know it sounds weird, but it was actually a perfect combo of sweet and salty!

If you like what you see, be sure to check out the rest of the pictures here!

Orly Cotton Candy + Spoiled by Wet n Wild Jewelry Heist

I think in some ways, my no-buy has shortened my attention span. I'm so determined to get through my untried polishes that I have a constant itch to change up my polish, and it's really weird seeing the same polish on for a week.

As much as I liked Cotton Candy by itself, I really wanted to try another Spoiled polish, and I thought Jewelry Heist would go great with it. I love that it has a good mixture of hexagons, circles, and squares. I'm not into handbags, but this combo really gives me a Juicy Couture vibe! I used two coats of Jewelry Heist shown in the pictures above.

On a side note, the brush for the polish was really stupid. The bristles were cut really unevenly and left streaks even though the glitter is suspended in a clear base... wtf?! I've heard about people fixing brushes by cutting the bristles, but looking at the brush, I have no idea where or how to cut it :(

Gimme Gimme

Orly Cotton Candy

I've been wanting this polish ever since I saw it on Nailzilla, and it's finally mine!!!!! Even though I'm partial to blues and this is a peachy pink, it's SO freaking pretty! I loved the color even more the instant I applied it to my nails.
This one makes it into my favorites list for sure (:

Galaxy Foamposite x Galaxy Nails

Due to today's release of the Galaxy Foamposite, I figured I might as well do my own take of galaxy nails. My Twitter feed hasn't blown up this badly over the release of a particular shoe since the Concord 11's! Since I've had the galaxy design in my head all week, I thought I'd transfer it onto my nails. This design has been around for a while now, so be sure to check Youtube for tutorials if you're intested in recreating this look (:

On a side note, I think Microbiology lab has scarred me forever. When I look at the stars on my nails, I can't help but think of the bacterial colonies I had to work with last quarter haha :P

Imports @ UCI Annual Car Show

The annual car show at UC Irvine went down on the 11th and I swung by to check out the rides for this year. I got a chance to meet up and catch up with an old high school friend so I didn't get too many pictures, but here's a handful that I ended up with.

Sweet neon pink accents on this Honda Fit. Me likey!

I tried so hard to capture the holographic logo on this RSX's windshield... oh well.

Gotta appreciate this clean 300ZX (:

I want an S14 Kouki. This is one of the cars on my super want list.

Pink Whisper

This is Nicole by OPI Kim-pletely in Love. Before I get into further details of this polish, I'd like to start off by saying that I am not a fan of Kim Kardashian. I will never understand how so many girls envy her, seeing as her rise to fame was based on a leaked sex tape. Just saying.

Anyway--when the Kardashian collection came out, there was a lot of hype regarding this particular color. I had no idea why it was so popular since it appeared quite average, and I just assumed that it had something to due with the craze regarding the Kardashians. However, when I saw it in person, I discovered this:

Amazing pink-green-blue duochrome shimmer!

Being the nail polish addict that I am, how could I resist?! So yeah, I sucked up my pride and this polish came home with me. Gotta hand it to OPI for suckering me into this collection, despite my deliberate dislike of it!

You don't catch the pink shimmer once it's on the nails, and the green and blue shimmer kind of meld together. But even so, this is a great palate cleansing color because it's clean and simple. I like that it's very feminine and delicate as well.

For this swatch, I used two coats along with NYC Grand Central Station for my top coat. For some reason, the slight visible nail line didn't bother me too much, even though it usually does. For those of you that can't stand having your nail line show, a third coat should probably do the trick.

This is one last shot with my Hello Kitty cosmetics pouch that I recently picked up from Sephora. I'm gonna be using it as a pencil case (:

Poke Her Face

As much as I love coming up with unique nail designs to match with my sneakers, it's not always feasible to do so. I'm no pro, so it's really time consuming to plan it out and diligently paint out the details. I only give myself one shot to execute designs properly because I can't spend all day fixing mistakes, and it's really hard to go back once I mess up.

So when I stumbled on Wet n Wild's Spoiled polish in Shuffle the Deck, I snatched it up right away because the red, black, and silver glitters reminded me of classic Air Jordan colorways. I can see this glitter being a lifesaver when I want to match with my kicks in a cinch.

For this look, I used one coat of Essence White Secret, one coat of Shuffle the Deck, another two coats of White Secret, an additional coat of Shuffle the Deck, and then N.Y.C. Grand Central Station to top it all off.  Yeah, that's a lot of coats!

If I didn't have a sneaker fetish, this polish would definitely remind me of playing cards. This polish was very aptly named, in my opinion!

I broke my no-buy for several Spoiled polishes from the Wet n Wild line, but that's only because I had heard about how hard they were to find. Apparently, some resellers were raping people with their Ebay prices, taking advantage of those who can't find them or don't have access to them--ridiculous! Whether it's with polish or sneakers, the freaking resellers keep fueling the hype and killing it for everyone else!

Regardless, I eventually found this at my local CVS. If you're interested in picking up this polish for yourself, be sure to keep an eye out for them!
